Solution

a hand rendered drawing of a poinsettia, showing the transition of how the natural plant transforms from green to red in its growth process...My goal was to render the plant in the most natural realistic way that would give the viewer the affect of 3D without wearing 3D glasses

Why does your design stand out?

the hand rendering is detailed, the poinsettia appears as if its jumping off the page, the bright colors attract the eye, and the repetitious elements create an interesting pattern that would uplift anyones spirit
