Solution

This is a chunky, fun pattern operating with light colours, inspired by poppy fields and vivid dreaming under their influence. The hexagonal geometry is a reference to molecular grids and light reflections on the glass windows of the garden. Please note each of my designs have three images: the single repeat unit, the maximum scale at 164 cm fabric width and a detailed closeup of the pattern. All sizes are real, but the resolution has been reduced to 96 or 72 dpi for web use.

Why does your design stand out?

This design was created from a large scale photographs and as such, it is perfect for the bold designs of loose garments, it works best as a large scale repeat, and could be used for all sorts of summer garments, for example on T-Shirts. It could be printed on accessories too or even canvas shoes, and could be combined with dark tones.

Which kind of brands do you imagine using your design?

Fast fashion chains, selling contemporary womenswear, such as TopShop, Zara, Mango, Glamorous, H&M, etc.
