I created this pattern from a photo of a poppy field, and I have taken it to elements and re-arranged them in an artificial grid. This could be interpreted as flower fields seen from above, or the window panes of an indoor garden. The colours represent summer. Please note each of my designs have three images: the single repeat unit, the maximum scale at 164 cm fabric width* and a detailed closeup of the pattern. All sizes are real, but the resolution has been reduced to 96 dpi for web use.
Why does your design stand out?
This is a very contemporary design created entirely digitally, therefore it fits mostly on urban fashion garments, such as hooded jackets, T-shirts, vests, or even loose skirts. The pattern works well on all scales, and its closeup effects are also interesting, so they could be used on pockets or smaller details on other items too, it is a perfect contrast on a dark, loose fabric.
Which kind of brands do you imagine using your design?
Fast-fashion chains, selling contemporary urban womenswear such as TopShop, Zara, Mango, H&M, also sportswear such as Nike or Adidas.
