Daydream in Bloom
Bright and geometric floral pattern using vintage graphics and glowy colours.

Solution

This design is a bright geometric digital pattern which I created from my own photographs of a vintage Russian scarf. The colours glow on a cold surface that is reminiscent of a prism garden, or glass houses for growing flowers. Please note each of my designs have three images: the single repeat unit, the maximum scale at 164 cm fabric width* and a detailed closeup of the pattern. All sizes are real, but the resolution has been reduced to 96 dpi for web use.

Why does your design stand out?

This is a very large scale pattern, which makes it possible to be used on many garments without repeating which makes it perfect for T-Shirts, dresses, or even jackets. It could be also applied to accessories and contrasting it with white fabrics would result in a great effect too. The cool shades and the glowing effect of the flower would really make any garment with it a great summer hit, and could also work on sheen fabrics too.

Which kind of brands do you imagine using your design?

Fast-fashion chains, selling contemporary urban womenswear such as TopShop, Zara, Mango, H&M, also sportswear such as Nike or Adidas.
