Skateboard, roller-blades, free-ski, whatever you do this backpack will let you take your net-book, some books and other staff (in near future the problems of children carrying tons of books to school will be solved by using netbooks only) with you without making you uncomfortable. Also, the inner part works as a protector for your backbone in case of extreme falls. The outer Cevlar skin protects your staff inside the backpack. Front small protector guards your mobile phone or any other small device you use!

Interesting idea but how do you intend to carry things there? The shape should be one sided only and inside you NEED have straight lines, because your larger books/papers will be S shaped ;)

I have to agree on this. The bag looks awesome, but if you have to take more then just your netbook then it looks that there isnt enough space in the bag.

It seems meny people have problem with the the volume of the backpack. I consider this as a futuristic concept. In near future we'll need just netbooks or even less. As for the whole bunch of extreme riders they aren't bookworms anyway. They care more about comfort and in this case I provide also PROTECTION! All the best and thanks for your comments!
We will eat and drink in the future, don't we ??? I really like the design. Perhaps it's possible to give that bag more variability. Why should it not be possible to expand the volume for some special days with special needs. You should do that and many more would love this future bag.

very very impressive rendering, would be a nice bag for some science-fiction movie (-: Regarding to the brief I think it´s maybe to futuristic. I have to agree with thirdbase, it should be expandable as we probably will go to the sports on a travel to shop e.g. in the future I hope. And than its good to not always have to switch bags I guess...
I am not so sure that in the near future kids would have just computers! I use computer a lot, but still to have a book to read is also great. Also it looks a bit too futuristic for the trends that kids between 14-22 follow (got three brother in that age and non use anything futuristic like looking) The 3D model and presentation is great !
I assume that the back of the backpack is quite rigid, as it has to protect the spine...how will it fit different sized people? Will you have to buy it in sizes as small, medium, large? And if so ..it will create a big inconvenience , as kids grow quite fast ...will they have to buy a new backpack each year to fit them? The problem could be easily resolved if the back becomes flexible, but that means it wont be protecting the spine anymore..so no more extreme sports. Anyway...I think your idea looks really nice ..but its not fit for this brief because of the age group. As a snowboard junkie ..I have to say I love the fact that it has a small volume witch is quite fitted around the body, as bulky backpacks can cause quite some pain if you are unfortunate enough to fall on your back. My advice would be to develop it more towards and extreme sports backpack for people aged between 22-35.
