RAPIDEE is a portmanteau of German words "rapide" and "idee", meaning "rapid" and "idea" in English. The letters are slightly slanted to the right and have sort of arrow shapes in order to symbolize the acceleration and dynamism gained through services offered by the DB Innovation Lab. The space in between simplified twin E letters constructs a shape that evokes an image of the railroad tracks.
