The conditions on industrial farms, where the animals are kept indoors with minimum space, are not something that many people are aware of. We would normally imagine the farm animals living in the countryside, on traditional farms. The images used on meat packaging often try to maintain that idea. The aim here is to point out that the idea we have about where the meat comes from might not be right, and that we should expect more transparency to be able to make better choices when buying it.
