Developed from a whimsical painting mimicking a Chinese scroll painting.

Why does your design stand out?

I wanted the designs to be bold yet retain the delicateness associated with the Chinoise style. It is quirky & playful. On a practical level this design can be used in many ways, as shown. The design can be easily broken up & used for complimentary garments. The pattern can work as a large print & also as a small print. I think it could also work on shear fabric as well as more structured.

Which kind of brands do you imagine using your design?

The colourful versions: Missoni & Valentino The more subdued versions: Lela Rose, all saints Dries Van Noten
