This design has a refined and handcrafted feel to it due to the painted bamboo and butterflies. Hidden behind the foliage are Chinese influenced type symbols; creating depth within the pattern. The design was influence by bamboo being used as screens and makeshift walls. Within a garden, it's a screen provided by nature- move the leaves aside and you may reveal a hidden shrine.
The bamboo shoots leap from the design due to the contrasting background. It is a lot more simplistic in colour; focusing on different shades within the leaves. It isn't 'pink & girly' so would suit those who prefer less florals as well as women of a mature age. The purple colourway features feminine utopian shades, appealing to a more youthful market. The colourways add warmth to the design for the transition to autumn, whilst the painted imagery adds charm.
