Imagine one morning you wake up in a foreign, threatening and hostile world. A world without words, trapped in your world of silence. The sound of your drumming heart in your ears, strange humans all around you, lies and deception always on a hand. Silent cries, a life on the limit, a balancing act on a steel cable on the edge of a ravine. Never ending will to fight in never ending dead ends. And the word is always close by, smiling sarcastically but never reached.
Made on Coboat
In summary, what is your “Made on Coboat” project idea (max. 3 sentences)?
I am writing a book about a woman’s extraordinary life. She tries to survive in a world without words, without understanding the rules. Her hunger for life takes her from one borderline situation to the other. Without frills, frank and sometimes shocking, the story unfolds to the reader in fragments. My story pays homage to humanity, to the supremacy of the word and the power of a dream.
How much of your project can you realistically achieve in 100 days if you will get the chance to stay on the Coboat?
If, for the first time in my life, I had the chance to work and to conduct research without time pressure or distractions I could get a great deal done. I could complete the outline and a large part of the content.
Will you complete this project on your own, or will you be working with a together with a team?
I prefer working on my own, but hope to exchange ideas with other creative, inspiring people on the boat.
Why should your project be chosen?
In a world of contrasts between poor and rich, plenty and lack, man`s longing for sustainability grows. However, for me sustainability does not start with organic products or energy conservation but with the human being. Sustainability begins with women and men and their attitude towards the world, to their neighbors and their environment.
I want my book to shake up; I want to make people look at each other and try to get to the bottom of their own way of life and behavior.
What does this project mean to you?
Everybody has a dream, this book is mine. It`s as simple as that. "One does not regret the things he did, but the ones he didn' t do." (Marc Aurel) I want this dream to come to life.
Why do you want to do this project?
Ever since I was little, it has been my dream to write a book. A "great" book that makes people reflect. I have wanted to move something and for the world to be better place, even if just by a little. Now I have a story, a story that wants to be told.

Please tell us a bit about yourself and your professional background. How do you fit into a team? What have you done before within the field of your idea?
I have written my first book when I was 12 years old. Worked on it for months with an old typewriter in the kitchen till it was finished. Lateron I completed a correspondence degree course of study and worked as a freelancer journalist for couple years. Some years later I started studying educational sciences and built a small business, teaching children and train troubled horses where I still work today. www.lehrer-auf-4-hufen.de
