compact design ... love is in the air :) nice
what 3d software are you using? what about rendering... looks very organic
wow! nice renderings! (maybe chose a different font for 'I'? it kind of looks like a 'J') Keep it up! different=interesting!
Agree... looks like a 1. Otherwise, great idea for a message. I´d only suggest that is a little heavy and difficult to carry, perhaps it needs to have ahandle, or a place to pick it up, or to be a littles less "solid", just imo... Waht do you think?
It agree. The box on 9 bottles for one person can be ?????????. But if the loader transfers it on small distances I think problems won't be. The box for certain will be a lung as it will be from plastic. It is possible to make design for a box 2?2, but it won't be so well to look.

Lovely shape and also very compact! Like Jess said may be you should try to make the hearts more comfortable for grabbing. Well done and really nice renders! ;)
Thanks!!! I counted that heart will serve as the handle. If to make a top of heart of more smooth the form will lose the meaning. But I still will think...
I think you misunderstood me. :) I know the heart serve as a handle. I think you can thicken to the interior not to exterior and then the form will be the same without losing the mining. But anyway I think it's something minor :) The idea is that your project it looks good!
I have understood you. I did a thickening in this place but probably it has turned out insignificant. I will try to increase a thickness of the handle. Thanks for council!!!
Agree with silvia: this is sexy!! Don´t think that you really need the "I" - think the message should be clear without it, because now it looks a bit constructed imo?! or maybe just another font?
Thanks! The letter "I" written by this font speaks to us that it is a drink ?1.
This seems rather uncomfortable to carry. You say intend to carry it by the heart: if you carry it by the side nearest your body, your hand is twisted weird. If you carry it from one of the other hearts, it will be angled and hard to keep it far enough from your body. If you carry it with two hands you are ok, but then you can't carry any other groceries at the same time. But maybe all you need to buy is Coke?! ;-)
I love Coca-Cola!!! Therefore to shop I will go only behind it!!!))))
???????? ??????? ?? ???? ??????? ?????????. ?? ?????? ?? ????? ????? ??)))))))
LOOOVEE your rendering I've been staring at it for how long..hahaha
Anyways, how would you carry it? I guess by the "heart" shape?
your design is a cool concept for limited edition , maybe valentins day... i am lovin it
I like cocacolic shapes in this work :)
May be a little prblem is with carriing - heart curve in top is not convinient to handle
all other looks perfect!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) About the handle it will be necessary to think still...
A handle in the middle (on top) could be the solution. The design is awesome.
Thanks for comments!! Heart is the handle. It has a thickening on edge. From above the handle didn't begin to do as it would spoil appearance of a box.
This crate will not be produceable in a mass production! The stiffness of this Draft is too low for stacking and multi-usability! But the design is not bad.
For mass production the variant of a box from translucent plastic will approach. It will be steadier against scratches. Thanks for your opinion!!!
Great idea. Soft shape. Multifunctional. I like. But what about the material - recycled oder organic?
I have offered two variants. The first of transparent plastic recycled. The second variant from red plastic. Probably it too recycled.
Hey MaxMan, Can you also give some more details about your crate? Like which goals are you focussing on and which size bottles you are working with and why?
Hey Jess!!! Has tried to answer your question in pictures!!! Has finished boxes under bottles 1l and 0,5l. For large bottles my variant won't approach as the box weight will be very big. It is possible to use still this design for bottles 0,33l.
MaxMax,
i see you learn something form our Ukrainian friends. one thing, make the robot super sexy and you are good to go
Great renderings, but i think there might be a few points you have to think about. It seems a bit unconfortable to carry if you should use the heart therefor. It too close to the bottles. Also there might be a problem with the narrowed opening, not just in reference to the portability but also to the filling of the crate.
Thanks for comments! Your questions I can answer. If to use heart as the handle bottles don't disturb to a hand. If simultaneously to try to pull out bottles from a box they can't leave. But if to take out them on one problems won't be. (Excuse for my English)
Is the heart the handle? Too much material between the top and the container and the opening for ergonomics I think
nice renderings but some work on the handles is needed
It would be desirable to leave a few places for a letter "I". If to lift the handle above that for a letter there will be no place.
Thanks yadroid! But I think that at this competition many good works.
i love your concept! Can be easily transportable, the design is simple and efficient! bravo! :)
Can the bottles be loaded straight down or do they need to be inserted and slid toward the outside? I can't tell how much your lip overhangs to the inside.
At once from this container it is impossible to pull out all bottles. But it is possible on one or on some. A bit later video on which it will be visible. Thanks!
Hi Max! The briefing says, the crates have to be refillable in an automatized and mechanic way. Each extra step like putting them individually one by one will make this process more complicated, will ask for more complicated machines and will slow down the process. Just imagine that in one day, tens of thousands of bottles have to be processed. The possibility to industrially produce and mechanically refill the crate is mandatory!
Hi Alexandr! Loading of bottles can be simultaneous, only bottles it will be necessary to arrange in two levels. The first level on a floor of a bottle below the second. And then automatic loading of a box will be is made without delays.
In this moment it's impossible to remove or to put all the bottles at the same time, so the crate can not be mechanically refilled. The only bottle that can be put mechanically in the crate is the middle one. The 1L crate measures 260 x 260 mm. The 1L bottle diameter is 80 mm x 3 bottles = 240 mm. So it remains only 200 mm (2cm). You must leave at least 2 mm around each bottle in order not to block and to enter or be removed very easily from crate all at once. That means another 12 mm in addition.
So you have:
240 mm (3 bottle)
12 mm (minimal space between the bottles)252 mm = occupied space (and your crate measures 260 mm)*
- and I haven't took into consideration the thickness of the walls, which means another 4-6 mm (in section: 2 walls of 2-3 mm each).
The only way to put mechanically all the bottles at the same it's to to increase the upper opening but you will lose the curve. If you want to keep the curve you need to increase the upper opening and to make the crate bigger.
Look at last picture in my project. I have quickly made animation what to show that to a lateral bottle disturbs of nothing. During packing of bottles by the first go central and angular bottles. Behind them with small backlog to a bottle floor there are lateral. On backlashes if to consider a thickness of plastic 4?? that it turns out: (260 (80*3))/4=3mm - backlashes between bottles. But considering the difficult form of bottles and a box - real backlashes will be more. If this question is basic - it will be possible to expand a box top. Thanks for an interesting question!!! ;)
Thanks Elina. It will be the most simple decision. I will think over it. But it would not be desirable to change the form of a box. :)
Hi MaxMan,
when I saw your idea for the first time. i was thinking waht a realy beautiful beverage crates. (your renderings are great) I think that your crates is unbeatable in a limited olympic games or christmas advertising campaign. I think that this crates should be collected not used.
So MaxMan great job
Thanks to GoldenGate for the appreciation, but I think you should put more good ratings. The competition is a lot of great work!
great idea and cool design, maybe lots of material for me, I prefer simplicity... it's from recycled plastic too? good work!!
Thank you! This can be of any plastic. Unfortunately this project is not possible to reduce the amount of material. But if you count the amount of material per bottle - is not very much. well, I think so... :)
I think you can use recycled plastic or any biodegradable material... nowadays we must do that, unfortunately recycling is not the solution, but it helps to reduce pollution :) anyway, I love your lovely idea! ;)
love is in the air :) hi maxman i like your idea. it looks like a nice box for your coca cola collection. i would buy one.
Nice idea but I think there will be problems to fill the crate by machinges and pick out the bottles in the corners.
Thanks for the comment! Look the last picture. It can be seen that the bottles are free to go. This applies to both sides and corners.
So needs a mechanism to twist a little by filling sides and corner, imo? So a heart for Coca cola and your design, lovely ;))
Thanks Iemo!!! Loading of bottles can be simultaneous, only bottles it will be necessary to arrange in two levels. The first level on a floor of a bottle below the second. And then automatic loading of a box will be is made without delays.
Hey, this is a great job! Like it! Only the handle is looks little bit uncomfortable... Do you plan to modify, or this is the final version?
Thank you! The handle does not want me because it will spoil the design.
Hei! This crate don't correspond with brief and feedback for the moment!
The crate is unusable - you cant put out corner bottles! just cant put out vertically because of crate borders. Really nobody see it?
The handle also is unusable.
Thank you for your opinion! If you've read my posts, you would see that the issue of stacking bottles I have twice as described. There is no problem! The handle may not be the most convenient, but it can be used. Thank you again!
Most of women prefer to wear nice shoes. And think about comfort in the least. ;)
Cool; reminds me of the shrink-wrap on coke cans. :) Not sure if I would want to carry it by the heart, though - looks uncomfy?
Hey, cool crate but isn't it problematic that it cant be refilled mechanicly? And putting a candle beneeth a plastic crate is a bit dangerous or? :)
I really love this crate, so cute and beautiful! why so many people doubt the refilling? maybe it can't be refilled by a old machine, but, we are creating a new crate! so there can be a new machine to refill the new crate! it is not difficult as you think!!
mhm... and it will be also produced by a new one and the material is new and magic and the people in the future have enough money and no problems with their enviroment... come on!
Hm, your crate is looking nice, but your handle is not very convenient imo, especially when the bottles are full.
Thenks Janne! If you look at the cut, there is clearly seen that the bottles do not interfere with his hand. I think the handle is quite comfortable. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion!
i really love your renderings, some of the best in this contest. but i also have to agree with janne that the handles could be a bit better. maybe it could be a bit painful. also the heart, it seems that Coca Cola is really narcissistic. Don't know if that is their intention :) Otherwise a good job.
Thank you very much! I'm sure there are no ideal subjects. My job just can not lay claim to being the best. Everyone can find a flaw in it. This applies to any project. I sincerely wish that-be in the competition won the best job. And it turns out that to win over all written comments and praise that would later praise thee. You have a very good project and I sincerely wish you win like you! Good luck! ;)
i agree with janne & jungblut in the point of handling, otherwise well done good luck!
I love it !!! fantastic,.
nice shape and cute, !!
Take a look my idea : Cocacola_PUZZLE. G.Luck
Why does the box become so narrow on top? That leads to disadvantages in handeling. For example, the pull of the bottles in the corners.
Heart Design. Well, it is the same with Hello Kitty. You love it. Or you hate it. In either case it is polarizing. Imaginable as a special edition. But not for a mass compatible crate.
Good luck.
aww the women love it! And me, too!!! :D Great idea and design - red, the color of love! :-)
Congrats to do a top place, for me your design looks ugly, sorry but not are my style and this shape are impossible to do for inyection mould, because you close the mouth of crate without draft angle, please see http://www.plastics1.com/Articles/CIM/62.php about draft angle, your design dont be thinked to this manufacturing condition. i comment that to you take in count for future designs. again congratulations for your work and good luck.
Thank you! But I think that your rating will not be counted because you voted in the last day. But anyway thanks for your appreciation!
