X-Pack
I wanted to apply the organic design of the coka cola bottle to thg box.

Solution

Shape:

The coke bottle has an organic shape that looks very strong as if there where muscles. But a box as a matter of fact has dominant straight lines that do not apply to the organic shape. Another thing is that you can not show the bottles in the box in a nice way because the sides of the box covers the bottles and branding in most times. So the box has to take the branding part.

With this x-pack design concept the branding of the bottles can be clearly seen. Never the less the organic muscle x offers its own recognition and supports the bottle design.

I made one rendering with plastics and one with Arboform (Tecnaro GmbH) and compareable natural fiber based "natural plastics" that are probable for injection moulds.

Theb advantage is that they stock CO2 in the fiber, that the plant absorbes from the athmosphere. Also they are renewable. There are also technologies available that use biopolymeres from industrial hamp oil instead of petro chemics (German Fraunhofer Institut).

In my mind in this area sustainability is a matter of the material and not a matter of the construction. The same die casting moulds and machines can be used without changing the construction.

Basically the x-pack shape can be used also for 4, 8 and other quantity of bottles, but I had no time to show it all.

The last image shows build in wheels and bow for more easy transportation. It is not ready, it only shows the idea to integrate transportation support.

Thank you for the competition
