I made a model and tested. One of my daughter weighs 16 kg. The table can easily withstand this weight. My second daughter weighs 20 kg. Table weight survives, but begins to sag table top in the middle. =))) I used a single layer of thick cardboard refrigerator box =) Unfortunately for the chair is not enough the cardboard, but I made a model of a simple cardboard - it is quite stable. Of course it will be possible to regulate the issue of thickness and density of cardboard.=)
