Ouch. Pink + purple + background toilet paper textured + symetrical shape with two orifices + drop = ??!!!!!
you are offended by its brilliance? - toilet paper? - where? Isn't the dead drop an orifice (port) within another orifice (hole in the masonry) = 2 orifices? why are you offended by the color of death (purple) for the casket or and the life within the drop (pink) dripping out of the casket? Isn't that a superb imagery for a dead drop? I guess I don't mind the toilet paper imagery because the dead drop is cleaning up the waste of the internet? It's a stretch but I'll accept it even if I did not think of it. And I love symmetry - it is mother nature's design tool!
the casket is not legible. not very i rather see a snake spitting sperm.
1/2 hand painted with TOMBO brushes, then mirror image digital copy, then pasted together, then touch up with white-out, then color enhanced on a Mac Mini.

nice approach but i think way too philosofical and way too deep for what it's actually going to be. I personally think the colour purple shouldnt be combined with a casket shape and a concept that includes "dead" (even if it's not meant in a literal way). Becomes a little too ..goth ? Plus in many countries purple is the colour for the dead, grief, burrying agencies etc ... just my humble opinion.
how can something be too philosophic? - can yo be too pregnant? - or too thoughtful - or too funny? - are you advocating no thought at all? The idea of a dead drop is that the information is dead to the internet - so it is in a casket of its own - colors associated with dead are the only appropriate ones - the sacred information is dead to the world except for true believers and high priests with magic laptops that can identify the secret locations and access the holy water drops. Why call it dead drops if you do not want to be associated with the idea of dead? So if you call it dead, your logo should reflect that. Consider the logo as the ship of state of your endeavor - for a ship the water can be too shallow; but it can never be "...way too deep".
