a more serious version
maybe an explanation would be helpful here
(ha! double D= the 3d front and back faces ? in that case maybe you oughta make the top surface transparent ?)
Seems you're working with two very different styles here: The black letters and the transparent 3D letter. Maybe you've got two ideas here?!
I would use the D alone as a trademark and then find a very neutral font to write the name with.
You still have time for an update (:D
this is very good feedback thank you :) what i tried to do was choose a very contrasting font to the simple 3d letter. the more contemporary/industrial the d, the more medieval/detailed the font, or sth like that. maybe the idea behind it is not so clear :) i will do some updates :)
One thing you must try. I really don´t know if it is a good suggestion. Only try it!
Reflect the transparent D horizontal and make it the same hight as the 2 D´s. So you put the back of the transparent D to the back of the 2 D´s with a tiny white space.
ok give me 2 minutes :)
A suggestion: we feel the volume, but we don't immediately feel the double Ds. -> why not trying this volume with strokes and no surface + with an optical twist in the strokes that make the volume
(hoho, i made a similar comment here : http://www.jovoto.com/contests/dead-drops/ideas/11599

yep yep i know these :P ok , i'll see what comes out..
hey sorry i didnt have time to develop it more. Either way my personal favourite is the "story" :) so..... i'll leave it like that and whatever happens:)
If it is the second slide from the left. No.... it is not what I mean. Sorry. But it was only a suggestion. I have to go to bed now. I wish you good luck with your idea. A 9 it was allready. Have a good night.
:) ok! , thanx a lot!!! goodnite :)
Oh, you've made improvements! Niceee! Much better. A little heavy typo, but better ;-)
I'm sure you're going to be a exquisite logo designer with that eager of yours!
