Observation

Since a long time the employees handle tools to accomplish different tasks, the tools handled are of several types and several functionalities (indestrual machines, vehicles, computers, buildings, elevators, vending machines, screens, pens, graphic tablets, etc.).

The same tools are handled by several employees in different ways, for the achievement of different objectives and with a different degree of effectiveness from one employee to another.

Conclusion

In the work environment , the employee is using a device most of the time to perform a given action.

Accomplishing the task requires two main "elements" : -The employee -The device

If the employee will need training to perform the desired action properly, why not ask the device that performed this action several times before?

IoT allows us to perceive and interact with devices differently, to benefit from its ordinary functionality and also from its experience and responsiveness.

Solution

"IoT learning program" is an internet of things ecosystem implemented in the work environment to collect data about the different practices of the employees and build from these data learning while doing guidelines and micro courses that will allow employees to perform the tasks properly and easily.

The design of guidelines and micro courses may require human intervention at a certain stage.

How would you stage or advertise your hack?

During the launch phase the company must focus on the devices for public use (several users) before moving to the integration of personal devices in the IoT ecosystem, for two reasons:

  • high cost: each new technology will have huge costs during the launch phase.
  • important data collection: public devices provide richer data, either qualitatively or quantitatively, thanks to the frequency of use and the number of users.

the design of the guidelines and the micro coursesmust be adapted to the needs of the majority of the employees, in a second place the courses must be directed towards the personalization.

A personalization that can be possible thanks to the traceability of the different activities of each employee through the history of the handling of each equipment
