The complexities of today’s work environment often wreak havoc on the most disciplined approaches. As such, to ensure that company get a good idea of how the learning course for their employees will turn out right at the outset, management team has to provide the right resources and an environment that supports their growth and development needs.


Thus, rapid prototyping instructional design approach should be considered and harnessed. Rapid Prototyping is an instructional design approach that combines the design, developmental, and evaluation phases. It is a non-linear approach that produces a sample working model that is a scaled-down representative version of the whole course.


Rapid Prototyping need physical engagement and participation to be taught efficiently. Though theory is available online but the target group might not be familiar with online learning courses, implement rapid prototyping format as an offline course structured to a company's needs, including lessons on the theory and exams. Then employees move on to the hands-on part of the course where they apply the learned methods within a predetermined scope and come up with relevant prototypes.

Communicate and introduce Rapid Prototyping instructional design approach with employees through digital screens or digital noticeboards around the office places. During the work environment, employees that are checked into their smartphones or computers, are going to struggle to take in other forms of communication. Employees already have to check their email, Slack, voicemail, the company wiki and so on. Digital noticeboards as a form of internal communication can be pioneered, or shared, by management team on the developments and progress of each employee’s training and learning performance.
