Observation

As indivudals we all vary one from another. The same task or training can be completed in many ways and different time. The reason different learning styles affect our life so much is that they are somewhat like ones personality, but closer to how the information is processed.

Conclusion

That's why we need individual, customized ways to learn in a more effective and quick way. It is also better for developing our skills, memory and it's just more enjoyable. We need solutions that can be used by each individual and by managers and trainers.

Solution

This idea is based on VARK model theory, which is a scientific, psychological theory. It identifies four primary types of learners: visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. Each type responds best to different methods of teaching. Using these methods makes learning process qucker, more effective and motivating. The idea can be used in many ways for ex.: applying techniques that engage everyone in learning materials; scheduling work and tasks; choosing from specific learning methods.

How would you stage or advertise your hack?

Every presenter that stands up in front of an audience wants to be understood. But when your audience is equipped to learn best in distinctly different ways, how do you make sure that you get your message across to everyone in the room? If you want to educate a large group of people, you need to know how to engage each of the four learning styles.

Technically it could work like this:

  1. Quiz to determine dominant learning type or types. There are no clear types. All of us have few dominating cognitive styles. It's good to know which ones work for us.

2.Learning materials can be prepaired for each type, so people can choose the best way of learning for themself. Also organizing temwork and task distribution can use knowledge about VARK model.

3.Knowledge about these types of learning can help to design large training projects in a way that can be attractive to everyone (using techniques for all 4 learning types that will involve all participants are attractive to them).
