Here's what happened

​​Challenge

EMPACT will be reaching out to potential new students across various social media channels, and they need the visualisations for this upcoming outreach campaign for 2022. EMPACT believes the best way to reach new participants, is to develop a campaign that is more targeted to who they are trying to reach, and where they are based. They could create a ‘one-style fits all’ campaign, but what might capture someone's attention in Germany, probably won’t stop someone in Kenya from scrolling right past! What better way to do that than to tap into the already developed skill sets of their current students - students that understand the programme, who their target audience is and how to design something for the market that is relevant.

Approach

Over 30 different creatives from Kenya and Iraq ideated together with two experts and several guides on how to visualise the key messages EMPACT needs to convey. The ‘newcomer’ creatives were tasked to design a digital poster, which will be the main communication tool that will be shared as promotional material on online spaces. Secondly, the creatives were tasked to adapt their poster into an Instagram grid post, simplifying the information and the design.

Outcome

The large pool of young talent impressed the experts and EMPACT with dozens over dozens of great submissions. After portfolio assessment, we hope to see many of these talents in upcoming projects.
