It’s my concern to consider the issue of "depression" with humor and still to take it with respectful seriousness. Stereotypes and appeals won't help the people concerned and also contribute little to the understanding of the disease. The images appear deliberately somewhat surreal and express optimism, hope and strength without ignoring the despair. At the same time they are open for interpretation, because depression is always individual and ultimately puzzling.
