Fashion Frenzy: Georgiana
Floral in 3 colourways, 2 co-ordinating stripes
1/7

Solution

Inspired mainly by Phillip Lim's use of traditional-style florals and contrasting business-like stripes on a close-fitting, contemporary cut. His large scale florals reminded me of the fine detail of copperplate-printed fabrics from the 18th and 19th century. So researching these fabrics was another point of inspiration. The Black colourway suits either Lim's streamlined take on the season or the more opulent, romantic use of black florals favoured by several other designers.

Why does your design stand out?

Classic yet contemporary floral, referencing historical and romantic trends, works well on either classic or moderns silhouettes.

Which kind of brands do you imagine using your design?

More upmarket high street brands that want to get the feel of the SS16 catwalk.

How big is the repeat in your pattern? Keep in mind that it should be at least 64cm.

64 x 64cm
