The future of work, in an era of information-enabled people and processes. No longer will anyone be a hammer looking for a nail, or a nail waiting for a hammer. Employee & employer, task & participant - finding the right person for the right task MUST become quick and efficient. And it will need more than the monster.com, LinkedIn.com, glassdoor.com of today. Very likely it will be matching using AI and deep personal profiles. People can opt to create deep profiles, give permission for data collection from previous employers, and the profiles can then be anonymized and matched against job requirements.
Many white collar jobs will transcend traditional barriers of geographical distances, languages, educational backgrounds, cultural differences, etc. Many blue collar jobs will be lost to automation, and we'll need to reinvent work for those people, too. My submission's goal is to prod people to think big blue-sky style, for they can find the answers/solutions just as well or even better than me. Of course, if asked, I can go into more details.
