This is a piece of work that has been in the making for some time. This comp has kinda helped push it along some distance - enough for me to feel comfortable to complete and submit it.
It has some personal and funny quotes from growing up and should convey the feeling of immaturity, being naive and carefree into a level of maturity, responsibility and care with the added addition of "who knows what comes next" ;)

Great entry Lee!!! For me this project is a little bit like get something known from each other, something different, even personal which we did not know before... This is a great example!!! Well done and I enjoyed reading your illustration!
Thanks wolkersdorfer. I know what you mean. I started this some time ago and would never have expected to share it as it is pretty private but I felt (like so many other things) that there was level of fate as to why I started it and why this competition came to light - seemed to feel right ;)
yes, this is nice, great typographical and autobiographical approach!
It is a great idea of telling people of who you are in a simple and creative infographic! Well done!
Very personal and nicely done! You should do one for your daughter as well. ;) Hope you need a larger sheet though - this poster doesn´t leave room for many more years - unless there won´t be many important moments in future … ;)
Thanks Janne! That's a good idea, although if I took her creative direction it would very pink with lots of fairy dust and princesses ;)
Thought about how to expand the story - just reduce the size of the center graphic and add more moments... but who knows what lies ahead ;)
I´m sure of that. :D I´d keep it for her 18th birthday - the pink area will have vanished by then - speaking from experience. ;)
Well there is hope. Yesterday she told me she now has 2 favorite colors; yellow and red... I might not have to wait until she's 18 ;)
WOW i am really impressed!! the idea!! AND of course the style is awsome!!
That is great to hear and a privilege coming from you PnP! Thank you so much :)
it inspires me a lot... maybe i will do something similar for our staircase in our house! this is sooo sooo well done! and it is so personal.. its your life!
Wow - thank you for sharing a such personal thing with us here: your story! Great to know more about you - and yes this is something that makes us even happier about having decided to run this project :) Thanks for that!
Great Lee!
Interesting to see the way you create your "diary"! "Met Catherine in an Art class" sounds interesting. = )
I do naive minimal art illustrations on small blank playing cards for every wish and goal in my life. = )
Yours Jesko
haha yes. Back then in the art class, I was sooo naive.
I still pinch myself to be sure it's all real, like if one or two things in the past didn't happen, then what would've been the outcome... I find that kind of stuff really interesting... I used to be 100% fate minded, but over time learned that things don't just happen (well some things do), but most of the time you have to make your own own fate ;)
Wow, that's probably the most complimentary comment I've had on Jovoto. Thank you so much Herry :)
No mather what comes next. Your passion for design and your family grabs my heart.
Ugggghhhh I don't know how to reply to that. Such a nice comment. Thanks Prodeoweb. Really appreciate your words and support!
Wow! This is awesome! Beyond the design, tipography, color o texture, it's all about the idea. It is a great and motivating idea to do this! It makes me want to do one of my own! Thank you very much for sharing this work!
Thanks gabiarnal - glad to hear it has inspired you. that makes me happy :)
very cool personal work! love the colors! guess i would have choosen another font for the numbers, because they are too strong imho, but that is just me. again, it is really cool and i love it when designers use their gift to make themself and their loved ones happy. it is a good relief from our usual work.
Yes I had to choose in terms of hierarchy what elements should take the lead. I felt the numbers have the most importance as they set the important landmarks, so it was a conscious decision ;) Glad you like it :)
WoW Lee!!! You have a great storry here and an awesome way show it to us! :))) I'm speechless! You have a big piece of art here! Congratulations for this original work and keep enjoying your life story! :)
