The smaller piece supports the chair when within the bigger piece, used as a foot-rest when placed in front of the chair and as a side table when pulled out half way.
The chair is in scale 1:1 and made of Ash Compwood, a process where the timber is steamed and compressed. The timber is then bent and fixed in a mould. After a couple of days the wood is dry and the shape is fixed. The four curved pieces are hold together by stainless steel taps.
