Linea is a system design for outdoor use. It is composed by a chair and a table that can be folded and moved easly. The idea was born thinking about the classical and historical chairs for outdoor, like Franco Albini's Primavera, designed for Vittorio Bonacina. I want to recreate the effect of the rush weaved without weaving material but overlapping steel stripes. The chair and the table both foled in similar way, with rails obtained from a cut in the strucutre. This make Linea easy to fold and moved away with simple and quick movement. The chair and the table both are in lacquered steel.
How does your idea solve the problem?
I design an easy folding system integrated in the structure of the chair and of the table. I didn't use rails in market but i integrated it into the main structure. The shape is designed for being stacked in a simple way saving space during the transport.
What could be the perfect event to implement your approach/object?
Linea fit in various situation like home garden, hotel outdoor and catering events.
Which problem is solved by this idea?
Linea can be moved with a simple and quick movement. Once folded can be stacked saving space during the transport.
