CITRUS CONCEPT Product description

Design The Citrus Collection is a series of objects for outdoor, inspired by the citrus structure. The concept tries to unite in an original way the function of a table, flowerpot, cooler and a storage space, offering the pleasure of enjoying a light meal or a cup of wine in a relaxing way.

Material All outdoor objects from the Citrus Concept are manufactured through the technological process of rotational molding with ecological material of resin of polyethylene.
The variety of bright shades gives a more original and fresh touch to the collection.

CITRUS TABLE Consists of 3 items: - low table - bowl - cooler / storage space / flowerpot

Dimensions Diameter: 1200 mm Height: 500 mm

Colors Suggested colors are: 1. White with Green (lime) 2. White with Yellow (lemon) 3. White with Orange (orange) 4. White with Pink/Fuxia (grapefruit)

Dimensions Length: 900 mm Width: 975 mm Minimum Height: 400 mm Maximum Height: 800 mm

What's the benefit for the target group? The furniture is especially addressed for private users and it’s suitable for a light culinary event in the open air, creating a unique experience.

How does your idea solve the problem? The design and the simple functions like flowerpot, incorporated bowl, cooler and a storage space creates a pleasant and friendly environment.

What could be the perfect event to implement your approach/object? It can be used at social gatherings, cocktail parties with friends and family and also it would enhance the atmosphere of a light, romantic outdoor dinner.

Which problem is solved by this idea? The design of the table and the simple added functions enhance the outdoor experience.

How many guests can participate in your outdoor dinner? The table can be use by a maximum of 5 people, sitting at the table at the same time.

Yes, I agree with you Silvia. The back of the chairs in the lower part is rather large, but the top and all the front part is very small. I tried to crate a good balance and also to have the possibility to put the chairs in a closed circle.

Thanks a lot Alfonso! I share the same opinion as you. The Citrus Concept was thought initial strictly for the table. In the last moment I decided to work also on a chair design. In my opinion I don't believe I have succeeded. About the table, I forgot to put in the elevation the height. The table dimension are: Diameter: 1200 mm, Height: 500 mm. So, the table is a low version. Because I posted my slides in the last moment, I didn't had enough time to add a description of the project. For this reason I added on my project link page a comment which contains all the necessary project details (+dimension) and the answers to all the questions from the briefing (it's the first comment posted on the page). hey alexandru...i was more talking about the table...the floating form fits very well with the surrounding nature....the chair for me is a little bit to edgy for the garden...i am seeing him more in a lounge or lobby;)...good luck

The nice thing about this contest is that at some point they decided that it no longer matters if your table is easily transported or is reclosable, so it is sufficient that it has a good design and functionality :-)

Generally I agree with you. It's not a folding table and that is not what I intended. It has the dimensions of an ordinary table, it isn't a huge one and can be transported in a usual way. The new jury feedback was: ''The jury came to the conclusion that there is no need to force your idea in to a carriable solution. So if you have an outdoor object that is aesthetically and technically fine to stay where it is - fine. As long as it helps to give the users a unique outdoor dining experience.'
