Energy on wheels
Using local manufacturers for cheaper production and easier repair access: An engine on wheels!

Solution

The main concept is to focus of what India already has:
One of the best industries in producing water pumps.

My suggestions therefore is a combination of realistic practicalities (weight vs price) and small scale design (the wagon principal).

Main focus is to have everything produced locally, so that farmers can have an easier and faster repair in case of problems. Also to support the local business.

Next to this i focus on how easy the product is to use:
A special manual and tools come with the pump and engine for home repair. The design comes second as a solution to the weight - the engine is on wheels and can be transported by foot or put on a bike.

On a cloudy but non rainy day, you can attach the kinetic energy converter on the bike and manually create enough energy for for example a household or for the cattle.

I have added the idea of a local initiative to build/support the building of a water tower, as this in the end would be the best solution in the long run, as the solar panels will be able to create power to take up more water than needed, on the majority of the days in a year. This water tower would become an indirect energy storage, like a battery.
