This is a month planned project. This idea arrived from a geothermal process called kalina cycle or mixed fluid cycle. This system uses an ammonia-water mixed fluid for high efficiency and for achieving greater heat transfer.converting low grade into electrical power .we are using water and fluid because this is much more feasible and useful in point of agriculture as Nitrogen is absolutely necessary for plants to grow. Nature provides nitrogen-fixing bacteria that are harbored by the roots of plants to supply nitrogen compounds. It has long been known that nitrogen rich sources help plants grow, but only since the industrial revolution has nitrogen been produced in large quantities in the form of ammonia. The process by which ammonia is synthesized is referred to as the Haber-Bosc process. Producing ammonia is very energy intensive, as it is directly synthesized from the nitrogen in the air and hydrogen over an iron catalyst. This process is carried out at both very high temperatures and very high pressures.
Ammonia Production is Significant
The production of ammonia is massive
in scale, consuming nearly 2% of global energy production. Of the ammonia
produced, a full 83% is used directly in fertilizers. The production of ammonia
is specifically suited to natural gas, accounting for 5% of worldwide natural
gas consumption. Like transportation and energy, our food is entirely fossil
fuel dependent. The property of ammonia plays the major role and water is used
mainly for distillation and as a coolant . Ammonia gas boils at -33 degrees C,
so at room temperature it is a gas. Hence even when mixed with water has the
same properties .My model is compressed version of kalina cycle and modified version of it. The working of a kalina cycle is
This is a basic representation of kalina process. My model is home compact and easily portable and also works at zero degree C can easily operate by any but power efficiency is high than diesel pumps, zero green gas emmisson. Less expensive and can meet the requirement of Bihari farmers. As i am from a farmirng town in India .The use of ammonia is useful as discussed above
WORKING
In model it first starts from the base it is made up of copper for greater conduction. The body of this model is fully black so that max. heat is absorbed. The fluid consisting of ammonia and water is in base as the temperature goes up ammonia vapour reach the top and enter the inlet valve and divides itself across a seperator .Here ammonia vapour and vapour generator is present. As it moves along yhe parallel tubes and it reaches a high efficient turbine. This generates a lot power and generator placed on the top of the model does this job. This is because to remain cool away from heat. The ammonia gas now enters the outlet valve and move towards the absorber .Here the coolant is passed to cool the vapour and condense it and convert to its original form.here the pipes are pressurise to 10pa.This cycle continues restlessly .In my research a single molecule moves at a velocity of 516.903 m/s having radius of 0.5cm.The power generated was too large as i was shocked to see my recordings .It produced about 490VA. This is very high than diesel pumps. This huge power is then stored by a rechargeable battery.Which has a three phase socket. This power is then used in electric pump to pump out water and can be used for home appliances.
DEMERITS
1.Regular cooling.
2.Replacement of parts after one year.
3.Odour of ammonia if any spill (actually an advantage as security).
