Please describe your idea in one sentence.

Monthly Art and Design Competition, aimed towards participation from primary and secondary schools in Berlin, with prizes that include a Monthly Winner cash prize, a year-end Grand Winner cash prize, and official Berlin Sparkasse Professional Online Endorsements for every Winner.

Who will benefit from your idea, hence whom is your idea directed towards?

Target demographic are school-going children, teenagers and their parents. Consequently, indirect beneficiaries will also include the Art and Design programmes within every participating Berlin school and the city’s next generation of Art and Design professionals.

Why is your idea “good for Berlin”?

The Competition provides additional competitive and showcasing facets for Art and Design within the city, nurtures growth and development of potential within the fields, and more than likely will mold future professionals.

How many people do you think will benefit from your idea?

The cash prize directly benefits the financial and household needs of families, provides positive reinforcement of noteworthy talent and skills in Art and Design, and the Online Endorsements provide a fun and potentially competitive edge for the Winners’ job market bargaining positions.

In what way does the Berliner Sparkasse gain visibility through your idea?

The Competition will initially necessitate online and in-city ad campaigns, but due to the stability of its regularity, substantial prize and endorsements, and the fact that the target demographic are children and parents, promotion will propel itself by word of mouth. A healthy combination of all the aforementioned will provide maximum visibility for Berlin Sparkasse at an early age, and potentially a positive, lifelong brand association.

Which kind of people and how many of them will take notice of your campaign?

School-going families will be aware via online and in-city ad campaigns, both inside and outside the school premises. The stability of regularity within The Competition, as a monthly staple of the Berlin Art and Design calendar, with the substantial cash prize for each iteration, will make them take notice.

How much do you estimate the annual budget for the implementation of your idea to be?

There are no definite numbers to draw upon, seeing this concept is created outside of the city, but it should not go over the 200,000 Euro limit prescribed by Berlin Sparkasse, as it will be a marriage of new medium created specifically for this campaign and existing infrastructures.
