About the project

The short supply of fresh water is typically overlooked. The world’s fresh water - the water needed for drinking, industry and sanitation - is about 2.5% of the world’s total - and most of that is frozen!

A $20,000 endowment award has been donated. 

 

Supported by Duke University's Center for Energy Development and the Global Environment (EDGE) and Treehugger, the challenge is a commitment to identify the best water sustainability ideas and fund the ones which show the most potential.
