The logo is constructed out of the Hamburg city symbol and hockey sticks combined together to form a new logo. The colour palette and numerous sticks represent the city clubs. The stick position is also a reference to the German eagle. (The concept is in detail explained graphically in the last picture.)
The focus was on the symbol of the city Hamburg, the colour scheme representing all the clubs and the hockey sticks intertwined together with the symbol of the city. The overall idea was to graphically send the next message: "The city of Hamburg is connected and lives and breaths hockey through all the city clubs and it's community."
It's my wish as I really enjoyed in the whole process of doing it. I hope that the logo shows at least a little bit of my effort and love in the creation of it.
That was my goal. I wanted to make a logo that represents everybody: the city, the players, the clubs and all the community of Hamburg.
