What was the task for the work you show here?
The editorial illustrations and animations you see here are usually linked to specific texts and scripts given to me by art directors and creative directors. so mostly the "task" is to illustrate/provide pictures for the given text and/or topic. // Example: the ipad illustration is about the app eToro - a social trading app that allows its users to watch the financial trading activity of other users and copy them. This copying is illustrated via the tablet mirroring the mobile phone.
What was your unique idea?
Even though I colaborate with photographer Caroline Wimmer and stop motion animator and fellow paper engineer Cris Wiegandt on many of the projects basically all the paper models shown here are thought up, patterned and constructed by myself without using 3D softwares. Therefore my pattern work is fairly unique and creates a look that is polished yet tactile and at times whimsical. I usually come up with the concepts for my illustrations myself unless is isnt' explicitly provided by the client.
Is the work you present here originally and genuine made by you?
