Surreal Urban Experience In Barcelona

Solution

I made this futuristic vision of urban dream inspired by static compositions and complementary color grading. The order and balance of the elements, clean skylines, emptiness and the feeling of sterility is something you do not experience in city. Therefore, to emphasize the alienation I took two vibrant and rather cold tones in order to bring the viewer to my urban dreamscape. Only because of photography I could experience the unseen of the city (Barcelona) and share my vision with others.

Explain how and why you created this work. Was it for a specific brief, etc.?

There was no specific brief for this project. I've been collecting some inspirational, beautiful quotes and poems for a while now and wanted to combine them with pictures of mine. As a result, daily poetry series was born - pictures, the color scheme it all finally matched with my poem collection.

What were you trying to express?

The alienation, urban energy, details we miss while in routine.
