How ours shoes made? What are they made from? What can I do with them when I don’t need them any more? PLATFFUS is suggestion for a DIY shoe that design to be recycled in the end of use. PLATFFUS can be disassembly completely and easily to the different component, upper and in and out sole, to save energy in the manufacturing and help the recycling process. PLATFFUS upper made from 100% canvas, the sole is 100% recycled rubber. The shoe is handmade silk printed, and double sided.

Explain how and why you created this work. Was it for a specific brief, etc.?

i made it in a shoe making course in RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN. we needed to design a shoe with an eco-friendly thought behind it.

What were you trying to express?

i wanted to expose the public to the mystery of our shoes. so many components go to waste and the end. i wanted to get the potential costumer to part of the production and creation of the shoe to increase the responsibility towards the object.
