Huellas del Gusto (Taste prints)
Service design for blind children and their parents.

Through a series of different sessions this service creates different sensorial experiences that develop blind children's senses, specially taste, as well as improving the understanding relationship with their parents. The service involves 3 graphic touchpoints with are a manual for the teacher, a diary for the children and their parents, and a calendar for the sample preparations. Each session involves different food samples and exercises based in different culinary and educational exercises.

Explain how and why you created this work. Was it for a specific brief, etc.?

It was my bachelor's degree graduation thesis, I want it to go further than that so I worked in association with a blind institute in my city to involve it in to their program.

What were you trying to express?

The service it self it's costume made according to the space and program of the institute I worked with and their members. The graphics are meant to be simple and contrasting for children with low vision and the brail and illustrations are engraved to bring textured qualities interesting to the touch.

Is it 100% your original work?
