Solution

The richness of African music from Jazz to Afro beat and the unmistakable Afro soul that owes a lot to the continent. Though the sounds varies from one corner to another what influenced the early legends of African music was the need of expression and this is why in my design I ditched colours and rainbow and focused on my expression of their talents through lines and circles.

Explain how and why you created this work. Was it for a specific brief, etc.?

This came at at first as a personal project for me, something I simply wanted to do for myself, but now it is slowly coming to life and might end up in a real magazine by the end of this year.

What were you trying to express?

My love for the sounds, and respects of my most iconic singers.

Is it 100% your original work?

The art direction, design and over all creative direction is all mine. The images are credited to various photographers - but the last four slides contain images I took myself.
