Viral Architecture emerges in this subject as a bridge between past and present, where the scientific notions of the parasitism can be incorporated in the architecture, as a way to inject contemporaneity in buildings that are stagnate in their birth time. As a possible rehabilitation typology, the viral architecture descontextualizes the built by intervening in the previously established barriers.

Explain how and why you created this work. Was it for a specific brief, etc.?
Despite having the potential to be transformed into a real space, this project arises in a academic environment. It was one my Master's thesis in Interior Design. Since I had the liberty to choose the subject for this project, I looked into my city and analized that we have so many old buildings that there should be some solution to rehabilitate them in a different way. In the search to some conclustion to that situation, I learned more about the Viral Architecture.
What were you trying to express?
As an Interior Designer, I see myself as an eclectic person. I have a lot of different interests, inside and outside of this discipline. But focusing our mind in Interior Design field, I idealize various types of concepts along with the projects that I have to work. In this particular one, I wanted something different from for my portfolio and also I wanted to play not only with Interior Design, but also with Architecture.
Is it 100% your original work?
Yes, off course. Even though this proposal has already some years since I created it, I didn't changed the main ideas and the concept. I simply felt along the way that I could create more visual information or even upgrade some of it with the aim to be more understandable. But I have the rights of this project.
