sorry they are late!!!
Don't worry about the drawings.
But you have to fix the position of windows.
where would they go better?
the lounge room is maybe a bit 'schooly'?
i didn't think about that until now, but your right.
try to keep the design simple and clean...but good job...keep it on!
You really shoul lookout some more architecture books.....
maybe i should shouldn't I???
I am just a junior and barely learning the functions of Revit so...
hey, don't worry about these comments. you have a good start with the space, just pay attention to the pipes and windows. only a few days to go!
don't limit yourself with Revit's institutional BIM style. Instead, try other tools like SketchUp... or good ol' pencil & paper. :)
Hey acuevas7 -
I think it is great that you are using Revit. Please also refer to the briefing. There are elements such as the windows that are placed wrong.
It is so sad to see people struggle with computer programs so much that their brain becomes benumbed - when sketching a floor layout is so easy - a four year old is competent to get recognizable images on the paper - what a bill of goods the computer companies have sold - disgusting - and dangerous - lack of basic thinking caused the Milwaukee bridge collapse!
In this case, - oops,,, there are windows? - yes, and the bathroom is blocking the best one - which is all right if you have diarrhea but bizarre nevertheless
please, get a red pencil with an eraser and print out the floor plan from the brief - and pretend you are a four year old and scribble on that floor plan until you are convinced that it is absolutely the best thing you can do - and put that scratchy, erased and drawn over drawing up - you will not be disappointed and neither will the rest of us - we want your great ideas and the computer is preventing you from showing them.
oh... and the idea of lap tables for dinner is brilliant! - its a keeper - the red pencil will not prevent you from enhancing that idea
thank you, and i saw the briefing already i see what i have to move around and where the windows go ill try to post a modified version that has the windows more accurately placed.
Once again, thank you!
School project. You did read the briefing. IMO you have to read the blog of Ghill too. Success.
Your teacher has probably told you about the problems in the SketchUp-to-Revit workflow.. If you want, just download SketchUp (free) and just open the model that is provided in the briefing. You'll be able to see all the dimensions so it will be easier to recreate in Revit.
Is this 'live-edited' contest?
Don't apologise and try to change it!
Good start so far! Don't give up!
does it work for any kind of Business?
