Nice!, I also think that owning 12 chairs is not the way to go. I am still working on that in my idea.

I like the fact that you are using counter height chairs. Maybe you can use those 12 chairs to create all the spaces the apartment need....for example...they can turn into closets (obviously) or maybe into the bed or desks.

Yes, it would be nice if a chair could be more than a chair. But from what I see out there, it still seems to be extremely difficult to make even a STACKABLE chair comfortable. A chair is either comfortable or stackable, seldom, if ever, both. Joshua, I am afraid your chair is trying to be too many things, to still be a comfortable chair. But a clever idea never the less, ... and it a really good looking one!

I remember I once was in a full auditorium of design students and some famous designer asked: "Why are you designing chars? We have enough chairs, everybody can sit."

NIce concept.

Terribly uncomfortable looking, but functionally interesting. Of course eventually you run into the problem of forgetting what is stored in which chair and having to go through all of them as they are moved around to find what you are looking for. Ultimately a solution that is less angular and more sensual (perhaps quarters of a cylinder that fit together?) might provide a more visually and ergonomically comfortable design.

Obviously the module of the table and chair are meant to work together, but I think you can redesign the supports so the perimeter is liberated, allowing a range of seating options. Perhaps 'C' shaped legs that can support the edges from a central area?
