Much work was done recently in the robotic development. New scientific achievements allow these machines to be more precise and useful than ever. For example, it is expected to have a fully operational robot chef in 2017, capable of preparing over 2000 dishes! My idea starts with digital ordering or pre-ordering of meals. This could be done either via smartphone application or on the seating table via touchscreen. It could also be done directly with voice commands to a robotic waiter. After that, the order is digitally send to the kitchen and the food is prepared by a robotic cook. When ready, it is served by a robotic waiter. This combined digital robotic operation is a great way to go straight into the future of food, utilizing all top-of-the-line technologies we currently have.

Which target group is your concept for?

The primary focus are big companies with a lot of employees who eat their lunches together, like Adidas with regard to their ‘’World of Sports’’ campus. It is important to say that investing in such high tech is actually investing into own future and it will prove beneficial after some time, lowering the maintenance and salary costs of these big campuses in long-term, while in the same time provide high quality service.

How does digitization & connectivity create a unique eating experience?

Utilizing robot technologies make things way more exquisite than ever before. I think that all procedures of seating, ordering, cooking, serving and eating will be more streamlined, relaxed and optimized than before, if robotic technology is implemented properly and remain human centric.

What other amazing features does your concept offer?

Robo Chef & Waiter offers a futuristic approach towards digitalization in food consumption. A person could order his meal on the spot or in advance, being introduced to a seat and have his food cooked by a robot chef, while communication between him and the “staff” is done entirely using robotic or AI interface.

What is the core idea behind your campus food experience?

The core idea is that our future lies into robotic technologies. If we utilize them properly and make them serve us right, then we could have better and more efficient daily routines. Everything I proposed in my idea could be achieved via contemporary techs and science.
