Taking inspiration from where they were used in offices in the late 19th century early 20th to transport mail, Pneumatic tubes could provide a new direction towards efficiency and speed in corporate dining and in food transport in general. We propose a network of restaurants and office buildings that are interconnected through numerous pneumatic tubes, allowing food to be delivered at great speed directly from the source to the destination.
Taking into consideration that our proposal may branch out to many areas of the city, we strongly believe that this system could be a solution for all three target groups. The underground network of pneumatic tubes has the ability to continually grow and meet ever changing needs of the modern workplace.
The key word of our project is speed: Saving time by ordering your meal digitally and having it delivered directly to you by interconnected tubes.
It is a simple idea that will answer as many modern problems as possible: avoiding traffic, saving time, keeping the food fresh and so on.
The system of interconnected tubes may facilitate the creation of new social bonds, allowing people to eat together in the environment that they choose.
