Trees were an important aspect of Celtic Culture. They provided shelter and food, and warmth through fire wood. The Druids would hold their classes and meetings under the trees and, when clearing a settlement, the ancient Celts would always leave a tree standing in the centre.

What is the mystical story behind your design?

Spiritually, the Celts believed that trees were the ancestors of man and had a connection to the other world. The most sacred of trees was the oak, or ‘daur’ in Celtic, which is where we get the modern word ‘door’. So the oak tree, literally would have been the door to the other world.

Can you tell us details about the printing specifications of your design?

I propose to make a simple print, only the images done with a metallic foil

The printing directly on the bottle: number of screen printing stations needed?

-

The printing of the two labels: Number of channels in offset printing, screen printing, flexo printing (special finish) and hot foil embossed printing?

-

The lid: number of colors needed?

Did you use images, graphics, fonts etc – not originally created by you? Did you get very closely inspired from a source? That’s fine as long as you share that source-links.

I was inspired by the image of Celtic mythology http://www.thisblogrules.com/tag/japanese-symbols-and-meanings
