There is a lot of folklore around werewolves all over the world. Even though there are many stories, there are some similarities between all the legends, such as turning into one with the full moon. I wanted to represent this the best I could adding elements such as ice and snow. This is a great example of man giving into his animal instinct. The story behind this particular werewolf is that he isolates himself the best he can so he can do no harm to others during his stages of the hunt.
What is the mystical story behind your design?
A werewolf, man-wolf, or lycanthrope is a mythological or folkloric human with the ability to shapeshift into a wolf or a therianthropic hybrid wolf-like creature, either purposely or after being placed under a curse or affliction, but always under a full moon.
Can you tell us details about the printing specifications of your design?
I made the design of the lid very simple so it could be clean and easy to read and print. The ain label I made using sevaral techniques in potoshop, and I made it bigger than the label requieres with extra space around th edges so when we cut the label no white space will pour over. Same with the lower label. I´m not 100% clear if it could be done but I would like for the words " limited edition and Wodka Gorbatschow" to be in a silver hot foil finish to make then stand out a bit more.
The printing directly on the bottle: number of screen printing stations needed?
On my two proposals , one has no printing and the other has a gradient from dark blue to clear. The dark blue starts at the bottom and as you move upward it turn clear.
The printing of the two labels: Number of channels in offset printing, screen printing, flexo printing (special finish) and hot foil embossed printing?
Offset printing. If possible hot foil on the word limited edition and Wodka Gorbatschow, to give it a shiny silver effect.
The lid: number of colors needed?
Did you use images, graphics, fonts etc – not originally created by you? Did you get very closely inspired from a source? That’s fine as long as you share that source-links.
Everything is created by me, excpet the font for the word "limited edition" used a font called avenir light. I also used a refrence image for the werewolf found on www.istockphoto.com here is the link: http://www.istockphoto.com/mx/vector/hombre-lobo-howl-gm181461269-27400067?st=psilhouette%20of%20a%20werewolf%20howling%20at%20moon
