Solution

Edge step as part of flooring panel with a hinged lid (FLIP )that can be used both as a feature  step to keep artifacts on top and or fix wall washers or led lighting. Wiring runs through this.. Leave open for lighting and when not in use it looks like a step. .. Fill some portions with glass pebbles if u want.. 
Until now if u want to light up a wall u have to fix it on to the floor directly.. Now u have an option to conceal it and have a feature step at the same time.. 
Can be used in exhibition area and museums also.. 
Totally removable along with floor panel.. because it is also a flooring panel.. 
Also part of the egersis idea..

How does your idea solve the problem?

By providing a floor panel that has a raised step like feature with hinged lid that clicks locks onto the flooring in the same finish as the rest of the floor. looks like part of the flooring and is joined to the floor in the same as the rest of the floor panels. easily removable

What is the benefit of your idea for the target group?

They have the benefit of having edge lighting as well as a step feature where they can place things. Wires and lamps are concealed inside this
