I wanted to mix 3 recognizable symbols. The approach was violence against genders. But at the end, humanity (wich is what we are talking about) is made of men and women. 

So the idea was to mix humanity and peace in one symbol/icon with a web 2.0 look.

It had to be something that could still be readable in different sizes and formats (printed or digital)

The inspiration about the colors came from the United Nations colors. I first thought of green then realized that it would look very ecological.
