1: Families with kids

Observation

Every parent knows that board games and car rides don’t fit well together. Balancing boards on the edges of seats, searching for the box lid to roll a die in, passing game be between the front and back row.

Conclusion

The VW Buzz already solved the basic problem by adding a table and swivel seats that helps the interior feel more like an RV than sedan. Let’s double-down on highlighting this part of the experience and making it a car that puts families (and board gamers) first.

Solution

VW produces various table tops for different game types with indented spaces on the board for pieces. Game figures are 3D printed in limited edition sets, or “market-specific” sets to be available with the car. Most importantly, the pieces don’t only look good, they also stay fixed to the board to keep both children and their parents happy on their long car rides.

Need addressed by this product

Option to have a “piece builder” software that allows a family to design their own pieces in 3D and order directly over the VW platform.

Further elaboration of the product

Variety of game options, position VW Buzz as family car.

Further elaboration of the product

Option to colloborate with designers to create custom pieces.
