Creating connections to public space
Over 120,000 vehicles, 4,000 pedestrians, and 2,600 cyclists a day pass across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Making use of public space for social interaction, the project re-programs the existing one dimensional circulation space into a place to view, reflect, meet, and collaborate, publicly and privately.
Tablet. Brooklyn Bridge
The hotel turns the icon into a physical, spatial, and public connection center by attaching a multi-functional complex to the side of the Brooklyn Bridge - bringing together tourists, visitors, and locals to one of New York's biggest, busiest, and iconic structures.
The Tablet Hotel becomes a public landmark.
