The possibility of a 4th dimension has been explored in the design. Two areas of application were identified
1. 4D based on spatial need.
Rooms are converted into modules placed along the inner faces of the spaces.
Each modules can be opened to occupy the space(one at a time) depending upon the requirement.
The principles for the design of such flexible modules where explored.
Various issues like circulation, light, services etc encountered where tackled.
and Finally the arrangement of these room to create various suites where considered.
2. 4D based on attributes:
Consider a room which has been occupied by a module. Its character is defined by various attributes like colour, light, humidity etc.
By adjusting these attributes a 4 dimension character can be instilled within the space.
User can opt for various modes which are combinations of values of these attributes.
a final form for the hotel has also been proposed..
