What is the idea behind your Sparda-Bank-Bench?

To create a bench that is a modern translation of the archetypal bench. Without losing its clean, clear and recognizable form language. To construct a piece of furniture that adapts to its use indoors as well as outdoors. Have a design that works for advertising as well as make sense on location. The upholstery inserts perfectly compliment the company colours and give the bench added functionality and comfort.

What makes your Sparda-Bench iconic?

It is a simple shape that even a child could draw… it’s a shape that sticks. The unexpected use of its negative space to attach the upholstery inserts.

Give us an idea of how your bench is produced and at what costs.

CNC Milled Resopal with edge band finishing. Upholstered inserts with foam. The bench is glued with lamellos and the inserts are screwed on when needed. Should be feasible under €1000

Is your bench transportable and all weather proof?

The Dual Bench can easily be carried by two people. For outdoor use it’s highly recommended to remove the upholstery inserts.
