The task
The task for the creatives was to show how a theater piece could be staged and/or communicated in order to catch the city’s and especially the young audience’s attention. It could even be actively included in creation and production process. The submission could imply a new form of staging, campaign or a combination of both.


The background

In total ten German theaters participated in this project: Theater Baden Baden, Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe (Baden State Theater Karlsruhe), Deutsches Theater Berlin (German Theater Berlin), Theater Freiburg, Stadttheater Giessen (City Theater Giessen), Theater und Orchester Heidelberg (Theater and Orchestra Heidelberg), Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken (Saarland State Theater Saarbrücken), Schauspiel Stuttgart, Theater an der Parkaue Berlin and the Theater Ulm.

The prize winning results of the project were presented at the re:publica 2012 - Germany’s biggest conference on blogs, social media and the digital society - in Berlin at the beginning of May.
